Sony Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact and Z Ultra to recieve Android 4.4.4 update – update sony xperia z1

Sony is pretty hot on the software updates, even for its previous generation devices. The company has already started rolling out its Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for the Xperia Z1 compact.

There doesn’t appear to be a changelog to accompany the update just yet, then again Android 4.4.4 doesn’t bring any sweeping changes or new features. However, it does contain an important security patch for an OpenSSL bug, which would have allowed for a “man-in-the-middle” attack.

Earlier this month Motorola introduced a very limited time “try then buy” program, allowing folks to pick up a customized Moto X for two weeks while paying just a penny for the privilege.
